Unexpected number of people in Saburro
Today, I bring my friend YL to saburro again as last two days ago, we are not able to get a place because the place is crowded with people.
This time, we start our journey at 5.15pm to Saburro. We reach there about 5.54pm. I was so surprise with the number of people waiting outside the shop. When I check the list, our name was like queue at the number 25. My husband told me that weekday is having less people so we thought that maybe we either wait for about 30minutes. When we saw so many people waiting outside we like a bit worried to wait for the food. YL suggest that we just wait for it like about an hour. If still cannot get a place to sit, we can maybe plan to eat other places.
Today, the wheather is quite good but the problem is, it is too windy outside. YL and I hide at the bus stop to avoid the wind from blowing. While we are waiting, we chatting and sharing about her work, my life over here, food, and etc. While chatting, I look at those people that is also waiting outside the shop. I am really impress of them(some of the guy wear short and some girls wear short skirt) as it is so windy and yet, they can stand there waiting for the waiter to call their name.
We waited about an hour just as we plan for the place to sit. We order about 7 types of sushi, a tempura and tofu. YL ask me whether the food is enough. Based on my calculation it is more than enough. This time, we sit in the middle between two tables of different group of people. When we saw the things that they order, I was like wondering whether the food that I order is more than enough or not. I thought if we do not have enough, then we need to get something from fast food because you cannot order second time in Saburro. Our tempura and tofu came first, within minutes, we finished the two dishes. We waited for quite sometime like about 30minutes for sushi. If we go during weekends, I believe the latest we only waited for about ten minutes for the sushi. During weekends, you will find that sushi come first before tempura. For today, the tempura comes first before the sushi. I am not sure why it is like this.
Overall, My husband and I enjoy the sushi and YL love the sushi and the side dishes a lot. We find that it is really different from Malaysia Japanese food. On the other hand, the size of sushi can make two to three pieces of sushi in sushi king. Imagine that.
